Embracing Natural Aesthetics: A Shift Away from badly done filler

In the ever-evolving world of aesthetics, trends come and go, (frankly social media has a lot to answer for…) and some have left us cringing at the thought of overfilled lips and overly plump cheeks. Unfortunately, these trends, often sported by celebrities, have become iconic for all the wrong reasons. As a Registered Nurse and an independent prescriber, I have always believed in the power of natural aesthetics, steering away from unnatural treatments that result in the infamous ‘duck lips’ and ‘chipmunk cheeks.’

Aesthetic trends can be a double-edged sword. While some innovations have brought positive changes, others have led individuals down a path of artificial beauty that often appears forced and, frankly, quite odd. It’s disheartening to see young and older individuals succumbing to these trends without considering the long-term consequences.

In my practice, I’ve always strived to understand my clients’ concerns, whether it’s thin or uneven lips, dark hollow eyes, or issues with receding chins and weak jawlines. Rather than chasing after fleeting trends, my focus has been on achieving natural, anti-aging aesthetics that enhance the individual’s features without compromising authenticity. I firmly believe that the goal should be to look “great for your age” rather than attempting to turn back time.

Refusing to engage in abnormal or unnatural treatments, I aim to bring out the best in each person. Through carefully tailored treatments, I work to draw attention away from problematic areas and harmonise the overall facial appearance. The objective is not to subtract years recklessly but to embrace the beauty that comes with age.

Injectables, such as fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments, play a crucial role in achieving these natural results. However, it’s equally essential to consider complementary treatments that contribute to long-term skin health. Chemical peels, radiofrequency, microneedling, and the use of high-quality skincare products take centre stage alongside injectables. These treatments focus on improving skin texture, stimulating collagen production, and maintaining a healthy complexion.

For younger clients, the emphasis should be on prevention and maintaining excellent skin health. Investing in great skincare and early intervention can significantly delay the signs of ageing, allowing individuals to preserve their youthful appearance for longer, rather than huge volumes of lip filler and unnecessary botox.

As a Registered Nurse, my commitment to providing the highest quality care is always my highest priority. Working in the heart of Lichfield City, I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for my clients. I take pride in using only the best quality products, ensuring that every treatment meets the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.

I’m very happy that the general push seems to be towards natural aesthetics, reflecting a growing awareness of the importance of embracing one’s unique beauty. Rather than succumbing to fleeting trends, individuals can be guided towards the right treatments that enhance their features while preserving their authenticity. As a Registered Nurse dedicated to the art of natural aesthetics, I invite clients to embrace the journey towards looking and feeling great at every age.
