Collagen is the scaffolding in our skin, it provides the strength and structure, and along with Elastin, the flexibility of our skin. Collagen induction is one of the key functions of microneedling, with 300 days of collagen boosting happening from just one treatment. As we age, our collagen production drops at 1% per year from our early 20’s, so it is really important to help this essential part of our skin function stay at its absolute peak!
We often get clients concerned that microneedling will hurt, but we use a brush-on local anaesthetic to make th treatment comfortable, and to ensure that we are able to treat to the appropriate depth for your skin concern. general skin rejuvenation can be reasonably shallow, but sometimes pigmentation, deep lines and acne scars will usually be treated at a deeper level.
